Poll: What is your favorite Operetta doll?

It's time for another Voicething poll! After reviewing Operetta's Picture Day doll, I placed her on the shelf next to my other Operetta dolls and found myself doing an internal compare and contrast of the various versions of her. Naturally it got me wondering what you guys think of Operetta's dolls, and which is your favorite!

Do you prefer the one and only original, victory rolled, basic Operetta? Or maybe the day-glo faceup of Skultimate Roller Maze Operetta is more your style? Perhaps dark and vampy Kohl's Operetta is your go-to, or maybe you like the brand new Picture Day doll. You'll see all six Operetta dolls released to date listed in the top block to the right of this blog post. Select your doll, hit the vote button, and you're done! If you're on the mobile site just scroll to the bottom of this page, select "View web version", and when the page reloads you'll see the poll.

The same rules apply to this poll as last month's Cleo poll. You have one full week to vote, but you can only vote once! You can follow the vote tallies as the week progresses; if your favorite doll is lagging behind the others get the word out to your fellow Monster-ites! Do some campaigning! The more people who vote the more fun it is! When the poll closes I'll do a rundown of the votes and officially place each doll in a Top Six countdown. Don't forget -- voting ends at 11:59 PM Central time zone next Wednesday!

May the best doll win!

Update: As you may have noticed, the voting tallies on the poll are all wonky. One minutes it shows over 50 people have voted, the next it says 7 people have. I'm in contact with Blogger about this glitch and will hopefully get it worked out. In the meantime, go ahead and vote! Hopefully the Blogger techs will be able to provide accurate final voting numbers!

  1. I voted for Dot Dead Gorgeous Operetta, although I like all of her dolls except for SKRM.
It's just a pity her hair looks nothing like the promo image.
Having said that, I feel we've yet to see the perfect Operetta. Rockabilly bad girl, not too mature, with just a hint of vamp, if you know what I mean. :)

    1. Yeah the general quality of Operetta's hair is never very good. In the promo pics it looks so silky and smooth but the reality is always a different story lol. I agree, they haven't quite made the perfect Operetta just yet. So far, her Kohl's doll has come the closest to "perfection" for me. :)

  2. Oh, this one's easy for me. The signature doll is almost perfect, the only issue I see being the frizzy hair. I love the outfit, I love the make-up, the hairstyle is way more interesting than on her other dolls (yes, again, not gonna deny quality problems but it's a really cool hairstyle otherwise). While I get almost all for the outfits, so far there hasn't been any other Operetta doll I thought worth keeping, because the basic one is so perfect. Now if only I knew how to fix that hair...

    1. It really is a shame about Operetta's hair. If the texture was better I think she'd be even more popular. I love the design of the basic doll's mask, but I hate how it smashes the victory roll. I guess it's a trade off -- the basic mask has a better design, but the heart mask of the later dolls doesn't interfere with her hair. In any case, I can see why you'd love the basic doll so much! She probably has the most detailed faceup, and the hairstyle really is unique, it definitely stands out!

    2. Well, I pulled the rolls a bit lower - the comb goes inside the roll, nothing is smashed. I do agree, though, it's not well thought-through.

    3. I've been too afraid to try fixing mine, worried I might make it worse. It's still exactly as it was when I deboxed her, plastic tie in place and everything. Maybe if I cut the plastic tie it'll loosen the mask's placement to where it won't be smashing the roll in half? Hmm...

  3. What's up with the votes? lol
Sometimes it says there's like 17 votes, other time 7 and votes seem to disappear altogether.
I hope this doesn't affect the results.

    1. I noticed that too, Felicity. I'm gonna keep an eye on it, if it keeps acting up I'll email Blogger about it. It's really weird, not sure why it's doing that.

  4. Operetta's my fave MH girl, so I like almost her dolls :)

If there's one I didn't like, it's the Roller Maze one...the green streaks in her hair look atrocious. The outfit is pretty good though.

    1. The green streaks matched with Operetta's orangey-red hair gave her sort of a Christmas vibe imo. I ended up taking my SRM Operetta's ponytail down (the only one I've done that to), and giving her a looser, wavy hairstyle. In general I feel Operetta is arguably the most unique character in the MH universe. Even when her dolls may not be of a person's taste, she still grabs your attention.

  5. The basic Operetta is one of my favourites, but daaamn, that messy hair and the hair-ruining mask really are drawbacks! Difficult to choose.

    1. For what it's worth, I voted Kohl's Operetta (though I doubt that surprises anyone lol). I feel like all the Operetta dolls have that messy hair, just to varying degrees. The only one that doesn't is SRM Operetta, and that's only because it was gelled into a ponytail-shaped helmet lol. Mattel needs to get to work fixing the girl's hair because otherwise she's pretty much perfect. The poor hair quality really drags her down.

  6. Kohl's Operetta is my favorite! Although I have not.

    Thanks for the poll!

  7. i think the answer to the perfect operetta doll is the doll in the draculaura dinner playset exclusive 2 pack, she is sleek and beautiful perfect hair, face-up, make-up, and out-fit she just looks sooo sleek and perfectly subtle... as for the other dolls hair try that conditioning thing i told you about, unless your afraid it will mess up her victory rolls !! :)

    1. Yes, totally agreed! Barring some unexpected change or a manufacturing error, Die-ner Operetta looks like she'll be the best one to date! I like that the design plays up Operetta's vampy side, Mattel should keep going in that direction with her.
