Hissing Red Riding Hood -- Starring Purrsephone!
Was doing my usual MH clothes swaps earlier today and thought I'd try Purrsephone in Clawdeen's Little Dead Riding Wolf ensemble. For good measure I threw in Oz Theodora's big red hat since the color matches perfectly and in general Theo's hat is made of pure win. In a great little coincidence, the hat is topped with three white and grey bird feathers. It ties beautifully into Purrsephone's general "bad kitty" vibe. I was so taken with the look that I turned the clothes swap into a full-blown phtotshoot! I proudly present to you Purrsephone as Hissing Red Riding Hood:

Gorgeous! It looks like you may have attempted brushing out Purrsephone's hair and the white-and-black striped part. If not, well, I did to both my cats! Brushing their hair makes it look better (and feel better) except that you brush out the black stripes and they aren't very noticeable...maybe you like it like that, but I colored over the black stripes with sharpie and it looks great! Maybe you could try, if you want their hair to be more bold in color.
ReplyDeleteThanks Helena! Yep, I brushed out my twins' hair. I didn't like the "stick of gum" effect the differently colored portion had! I'm torn on coloring the black stripes back in -- part of me wants them back, but on the other hand I'd like to see what they look like completely white. Right now they're in a sort of limbo, with just a little of the stripes visible. I'm not sure what I'm gonna do with them. I had to use a Sharpie to correct some flaked off mascara on one of my Catrines so I'm not averse to using one to fix small doll problems.
DeleteSome of my dolls with have uneven amounts of glitter it's usually not too bad but my Clawdeen from the Werewolf sister pack has one eye with glitter and no glitter on the other! I inspected all of them to pick the best dolls, now I've learned to pay attention to their eyes too. I could probably apply more glitter somehow but it might not look the same so I would have to do both eyes...do you have any suggestions?
DeleteHmm, that's a tough one, as I don't do any major modding to my dolls' faces (aside from that Catrine I had to fix, but that was pretty simple). I recommend going to the www.monsterhighdolls.com forum and asking in the Doll Care and Mods section how to fix your Clawdeen. There's lots of great customizers over there who I'm sure would be willing to share their expertise with you. :) If you don't have an account there yet, it's super easy (and free) to set up. I highly recommend the MHD forums in general -- I love it there!
DeleteI think I'll do just that! I think I'll love it there too. Thank you for recommending it!
