Slithering Fashion, Bitten Beauty

Nothing too extensive today. I did a clothes swap between Viperine (swoon) and Honey (dayum). Take a look...

Honey does boho and it fits her like a glove.

Meanwhile Viperine owns nerd chic. (Glasses courtesy of Apple White.)

Words are useless in the face of such beauty.

Did we just time travel? This is the 70s, right? Where's the flux capacitor?

Clutch courtesy of Raven Queen. (Those princesses love to share. That's just how cool they are. You should go get a few! They're on sale at Justice, hint hint.)

I just turned to stone. And I love it.

Being serious, I'm wanting to review one of these two but I'm not sure which. What say you?

Fin.

  1. Genius! I would have never thought to swap their outfits with each other!
They look adorable! And your accessorising is très incroyable! (I think I've just fallen in love with Google Translate!)
Do you have any idea how hard you're making resisting buying EAH for me?!?
    :D

    1. Hehe thanks Friend! They honestly look really natural in each other's clothes, don't they! At the very least they definitely have complimentary color schemes. As for EAH, at this point I'm about 75% a shill for Mattel so my luring you into the line is very pleasing! ;)

Oh, and I love Google Translate, too. So handy, so easy!

    1. Thanks for the suggestion, Lori. I have to admit I'm leaning more towards Viperine... but we'll see... ;)

  3. I was extremely excited about Honey Swamp from her pre-release pics, but when I saw the doll in person, i just wasn't feeling it. I'm still on the fence about whether to get her. I'm not even sure what it is about the doll that doesn't appeal. Maybe her color is darker than I expected or maybe I'm not in love with her eye makeup? I can't put my finger on it, so I'm curious what others think.

    1. Hmm... it could be any number of things. FWIW, once I put Catrine's sunglasses on Honey, I haven't taken them off of her. Something about her eyes is a tad "off" to me, so I prefer her in the glasses. And it's not wonk eye or anything, it's the way she was designed. It's actually part of why I prefer Viperine. Maybe that's what is turning you off of Honey?

  4. John,

Good idea about the eyes because I do love your pics with her wearing the sunglasses. I like her better in Viperine's dress too. Maybe I'll get her and let her borrow some clothes and accessories

    1. I think that's a perfect idea! It's funny, Vipey and Honey are part of the same line and were basically released simultaneously. Considering how complimentary their color schemes are, it's almost like Mattel designed these two to be "interchangeable", at least as far as clothes and accessories go. Honey definitely looks better with some funky shades paired with that fantastic 'do imo. I haven't tried Vipey's shades on her yet but I bet she can rock them good and proper. :D

    1. It's a bit like "Viperine the hipster", isn't it? lol! Honey seems to have a natural proclivity towards sunglasses. They all look great on her!

    1. Yep, FCA is all here now! Elissabat was the last one I got. I actually bought her, kept her boxed, and returned her -- just wasn't really feeling her. But I went back a few days later and got her again, and this time I kept her. And once I got her out of the box I actually really liked her! Not the most unique of MH dolls, but she is pretty, and that dress is pure stun-gorge. I never picked up BC Ula -- she just doesn't do it for me, and I've looked at her at the store several times now. I don't think I'll be adding her to my collection. Good luck on your hunt for the rest, Ricky!

    1. I'm very mixed on the new stuff. I'm not so big on the whole Fusion idea in the first place. And of the new characters the only one I'm excited about is Sirena. Then again we've only seen the LQ pics so it's probably too early to really judge. I'm not feeling Zombie Dance Rochelle and Venus, but I do love the twins! I'm open to being blown away by these dolls when we see better pics, though. In fact, that's what I hope happens!
