Photo Set: Future Queen of the Universe

Like mother unlike daughter: Apple ain't gotta wish for the one she loves to find her -- she'll find him her damn self!
(I do love that song though. Any other fans of Disney's Snow White around here?)

Sigh. So, so lovely.

If Mattel has any sense at all they'll be releasing opulent throne playsets for these dolls.
The Coffin Bean's high backed Victorian chair works as a temp but Apple deserves the real thing.

Whatcha doin' down there? Come on up and hang with me! What, you're too good for princesses?
Wanna spend all your time with monsters? Psh! Live a little, friend!

Future queen of the universe.

"Strike a pose, there's nothin' to it!"

To reiterate: throne playsets, please!

A bit Veronica Lake, no?

Beautiful, well made, unique, and interesting. Apple, you have my heart!

Most of these shots, plus many more, will be appearing in my upcoming Apple review. Thanks for looking!

  1. Ugh! Stop taunting me, John!

But otherwise, nice pictures! And I fully agree with you; I would also love to see some playsets with throne-like chairs. :)

I tied up Spectra's hair because it shows off her face better. I didn't use her jacket or Rochelle's wings because they couldn't sit down properly.

    1. Apple basically owns my soul at the moment lol. She's the STAR of my doll collection (and she loves it!) ;) I'm so digging the 2-pack. Not big on Hunter but Ashlynn looks just about perfect. Did you see the new promo pic of their shoes? Ashlynn's heels are translucent, like her mother's glass slippers. They look beautiful. You can view the pic here: http://www.monsterhighdolls.com/forum/topics/ashlynn-and-hunter-teaser

    1. Yeah, I can't wait til it gets here. Considering how quickly the first four dolls started hitting shelves after their promo pics were revealed, I imagine it won't be long for the 2-pack now! Hunter has really grown on me, I have to say. If he were an MH doll he'd possibly be their best male yet.

  5. According to a Mattel salesperson I met at the inn I was staying at, the two-pack should already be out! Looks like I'll be getting my first male doll! I love love LOVE Apple, but mine isn't NEARLY as gorgeous as yours! Your Apple's hair is amazing! I spent like 30 minutes in the Justice store picking out the best looking dolls of the four, lets just say almost all of the dolls had messed up eyes! One bigger than the other or one higher or farther away than the other- even with all my inspecting, one of my Briar's eyes is STILL bigger than the other! Not too noticeable though, especially if I let some of her hair cover her big eye. But my Briar has a half-circle indentation surrounding one of her eyes, I don't know if I should get another or just stick with her...I also brushed her hair abit, probably shouldn't have done that because her hair has a bad texture now and is frizzy! I still love her though despite these flaws so I will probably stick with her. And yes, I love Disney's Snow White! I love all of the Disney Princesses! Forever a young girl at heart. :)

    1. Great tip Helena! Hopefully we start hearing about people spotting the set in stores really soon. I don't know what's going on with Mattel and their QC -- they seriously need to get it together. People are really starting to get turned off by all the poorly manufactured dolls. :(

    2. what's wrong with them? :(

    3. Lately a *lot* of dolls have had problems with eyes that are uneven or out of alignment, hair that's thinly rooted or extremely dry and/or frizzy, clothes that aren't hemmed or have loose hems, and more. These are things that used to only happen occasionally but it seems like more and more dolls are hitting shelves with these problems. I think it has to do with the sheer amount of dolls being released. It seems like Mattel is relaxing somewhat on their quality control standards to get enough dolls on shelves to meet demand. And more and more people are noticing it. Hopefully they get whatever the problem is sorted soon -- I love the actual designs of most of the upcoming dolls, and I don't want them to be marred by wonky eyes or bad hair. :(
